Adam Murry is the Founder and Chairman of The Murry Foundation, a businessman, and most notably a tireless philanthropist. A vegetarian for many years, a recording of a seal being clubbed to death changed the course of Adam’s life. He has devoted inordinate amounts of time and energy into the preservation of all aspects of the Natural World whilst also developing schemes that save thousands of orphans a year.

Adam has a unique approach to charity. Although he donates all his personal wealth to provide immediate salvation for animals and humans his projects are meticulously constructed so that the benefits of his charity will be visible for future generations. He believes in long term solutions that may go some way to healing the world we have treated with such vicious contempt. He has never compensated himself for the vast amounts of time he has spent helping others, believing that every penny should reach the intended destination. If the truth be told, he has not only ensured that the donations reach the cause, but matched them many times over in a never-ending fight to make a difference, at great personal sacrifice.

On a personal note, I have known Adam for some time and can only marvel in awe at his tenacity and strength. His actions are utterly selfless, he does not understand how to say ‘no’ to those in need. He is, one could say, a shining beacon of hope in a shadowy world of despair. It is difficult to comprehend the determination required to fight the vast indifference that has tainted humanity, the bravery that must be summoned when faced with such horrific and torturous cruelty; Adam’s reaction is simply, ‘In a world of such pain and anguish people question the existence of god; whether he would truly allow such misery? I believe that god does exist and he is telling us what to do. The real tragedy is we are not listening.’
